Manvaya Dvara › The 36 channels › Channel 10-57
Intuition protecting how you live. A finely tuned sense of which behaviour keeps you safe and true.
Links the Self centre (Anahata) and the Instinct centre (Manipura)
A channel is defined when both of its dvaras are present: dvara 10 (Treading) and dvara 57 (The Gentle Wind). Then both centres it joins, Self and Instinct, become defined too. In the Dvara Method, defined centres are the stable, consistent parts of a person. The Self centre governs identity, direction and love; the Instinct centre governs instinct, health and timing.
Over-caution and fear; self-protection that shuts people out.
If you carry dvara 10 but not 57, or the reverse, the channel is open in you: the energy reaches out for its other half. The missing dvara can arrive through another person, which is one of the strongest kinds of connection between two charts, or through a passing transit, when the channel is defined for a few hours, days or months.
One of you carries dvara 10 and the other carries dvara 57. Neither has the channel alone; together it exists. This is the classic spark of attraction, and also a place of friction when either of you pulls back.
Both of you carry the whole channel. You understand each other here easily, and you may also reinforce each other's habits.
One of you carries the whole channel and the other carries one of its dvaras. The one with the full channel tends to set the pattern; the other may feel they have to adapt.
Only one of you carries this channel. The other experiences it through them, often strongly, and can learn from it or feel overwhelmed by it.
