Manvaya Dvara › The 36 channels › Channel 18-58
A joyful drive to improve what is flawed. Noticing what is not working and having the energy to fix it, which others can feel as criticism.
Links the Instinct centre (Manipura) and the Root centre (Muladhara)
A channel is defined when both of its dvaras are present: dvara 18 (Repairing Decay) and dvara 58 (The Joyous Lake). Then both centres it joins, Instinct and Root, become defined too. In the Dvara Method, defined centres are the stable, consistent parts of a person. The Instinct centre governs instinct, health and timing; the Root centre governs drive, pressure and adrenaline.
Chronic criticism and dissatisfaction; correcting the people you love.
If you carry dvara 18 but not 58, or the reverse, the channel is open in you: the energy reaches out for its other half. The missing dvara can arrive through another person, which is one of the strongest kinds of connection between two charts, or through a passing transit, when the channel is defined for a few hours, days or months.
One of you carries dvara 18 and the other carries dvara 58. Neither has the channel alone; together it exists. This is the classic spark of attraction, and also a place of friction when either of you pulls back.
Both of you carry the whole channel. You understand each other here easily, and you may also reinforce each other's habits.
One of you carries the whole channel and the other carries one of its dvaras. The one with the full channel tends to set the pattern; the other may feel they have to adapt.
Only one of you carries this channel. The other experiences it through them, often strongly, and can learn from it or feel overwhelmed by it.
