Channel 5-15 · Natural Rhythm

Living by your own timing. Habits and cycles that keep a steady flow, with room for the extremes in other people's rhythms.

Links the Life Force centre (Svadhisthana) and the Self centre (Anahata)

When the channel is defined

A channel is defined when both of its dvaras are present: dvara 5 (Waiting) and dvara 15 (Modesty). Then both centres it joins, Life Force and Self, become defined too. In the Dvara Method, defined centres are the stable, consistent parts of a person. The Life Force centre governs life force, work energy and fertility; the Self centre governs identity, direction and love.

The shadow side

Rigid routines and impatience with other people's timing; feeling thrown off by any disruption.

When you carry only one half

If you carry dvara 5 but not 15, or the reverse, the channel is open in you: the energy reaches out for its other half. The missing dvara can arrive through another person, which is one of the strongest kinds of connection between two charts, or through a passing transit, when the channel is defined for a few hours, days or months.

Channel 5-15 between two people

Completing

One of you carries dvara 5 and the other carries dvara 15. Neither has the channel alone; together it exists. This is the classic spark of attraction, and also a place of friction when either of you pulls back.

Shared

Both of you carry the whole channel. You understand each other here easily, and you may also reinforce each other's habits.

Partly shared

One of you carries the whole channel and the other carries one of its dvaras. The one with the full channel tends to set the pattern; the other may feel they have to adapt.

One-sided

Only one of you carries this channel. The other experiences it through them, often strongly, and can learn from it or feel overwhelmed by it.
