Manvaya Dvara › The 64 dvaras › Dvara 23
Generosity in decline: secure your ground by supporting those below you.
Throat centre · Vishuddha chakra · hexagram 23 of the I Ching
The ability to put insight into simple words. It strips away what is not essential so others can understand.
Being dismissed as strange; insights blurted out before people are ready.
Every dvara has both. Which one shows depends on awareness, circumstances and the people around you, not on the dvara itself.
In the Dvara Method, if a planet sat in this 5.625° slice of the zodiac at your birth, or about 88 days before it, dvara 23 is part of your chart. It belongs to the Throat centre, which governs expression and making things happen, and sits in the Vishuddha chakra.
On its own it is an open dvara: a quality you have access to, but one that reaches for a partner. It completes a channel only when its partner dvara is also present: 43. That partner can come from your own chart, from another person's chart, or from a passing transit. When it does, the Throat centre becomes defined, and the channel's energy becomes a consistent part of you or of the relationship.
With dvara 43 · Breakthrough in the Mind centre
Individual breakthroughs in understanding, and the challenge of putting new ideas into words others can accept.
The Dvara Method teaches that a dvara you were not born with can still be developed through contemplation. The quality to cultivate here is: Generosity in decline: secure your ground by supporting those below you. The Sun spends about six days in this dvara each year (around 9 May to 15 May), and the Moon passes through it roughly every 27 days, which makes natural times to practise.

Dvara 23 occupies the same slice of the zodiac as hexagram 23 of the I Ching. If you know the 64 gates from Human Design, it corresponds to gate 23. The Dvara Method is independent and reads it in its own words.
