Grace with restraint: bring beauty to small matters without overreaching.
Emotion centre · Manipura chakra · hexagram 22 of the I Ching
Grace and emotional openness. It brings charm and beauty to expression when the mood is right.
Moodiness; social grace that disappears when feelings are low.
Every dvara has both. Which one shows depends on awareness, circumstances and the people around you, not on the dvara itself.
In the Dvara Method, if a planet sat in this 5.625° slice of the zodiac at your birth, or about 88 days before it, dvara 22 is part of your chart. It belongs to the Emotion centre, which governs emotions and feeling, and sits in the Manipura chakra.
On its own it is an open dvara: a quality you have access to, but one that reaches for a partner. It completes a channel only when its partner dvara is also present: 12. That partner can come from your own chart, from another person's chart, or from a passing transit. When it does, the Emotion centre becomes defined, and the channel's energy becomes a consistent part of you or of the relationship.

Expression that depends on emotional mood. Social grace and impact when the timing feels right, withdrawal when it does not.
The Dvara Method teaches that a dvara you were not born with can still be developed through contemplation. The quality to cultivate here is: Grace with restraint: bring beauty to small matters without overreaching. The Sun spends about six days in this dvara each year (around 8 March to 13 March), and the Moon passes through it roughly every 27 days, which makes natural times to practise.

Dvara 22 occupies the same slice of the zodiac as hexagram 22 of the I Ching. If you know the 64 gates from Human Design, it corresponds to gate 22. The Dvara Method is independent and reads it in its own words.
