Dvara 56 · The Wanderer

Travelling lightly: stay clear and careful, and don't drag out disputes.

Throat centre · Vishuddha chakra · hexagram 56 of the I Ching

The gift

The storyteller and traveller. It moves from idea to idea and shares them in ways that stimulate others.

The shadow

Restlessness with no place to rest; stories that exaggerate.

Every dvara has both. Which one shows depends on awareness, circumstances and the people around you, not on the dvara itself.

When you carry dvara 56

In the Dvara Method, if a planet sat in this 5.625° slice of the zodiac at your birth, or about 88 days before it, dvara 56 is part of your chart. It belongs to the Throat centre, which governs expression and making things happen, and sits in the Vishuddha chakra.

On its own it is an open dvara: a quality you have access to, but one that reaches for a partner. It completes a channel only when its partner dvara is also present: 11. That partner can come from your own chart, from another person's chart, or from a passing transit. When it does, the Throat centre becomes defined, and the channel's energy becomes a consistent part of you or of the relationship.

Channel through dvara 56

Channel 11-56 · Storytelling

With dvara 11 · Peace in the Mind centre

Ideas turned into stories. Collecting experiences and images and sharing them to stimulate others.

Cultivating dvara 56

The Dvara Method teaches that a dvara you were not born with can still be developed through contemplation. The quality to cultivate here is: Travelling lightly: stay clear and careful, and don't drag out disputes. The Sun spends about six days in this dvara each year (around 19 July to 25 July), and the Moon passes through it roughly every 27 days, which makes natural times to practise.

Dvara 56 occupies the same slice of the zodiac as hexagram 56 of the I Ching. If you know the 64 gates from Human Design, it corresponds to gate 56. The Dvara Method is independent and reads it in its own words.
