Manvaya Dvara › The 64 dvaras › Dvara 55
Clarity at the peak: decide and act clearly while abundance lasts.
Emotion centre · Manipura chakra · hexagram 55 of the I Ching
Abundance of spirit. It holds great emotional range and can find fulfilment in any state.
Emotional swings; making happiness depend on outer conditions.
Every dvara has both. Which one shows depends on awareness, circumstances and the people around you, not on the dvara itself.
In the Dvara Method, if a planet sat in this 5.625° slice of the zodiac at your birth, or about 88 days before it, dvara 55 is part of your chart. It belongs to the Emotion centre, which governs emotions and feeling, and sits in the Manipura chakra.
On its own it is an open dvara: a quality you have access to, but one that reaches for a partner. It completes a channel only when its partner dvara is also present: 39. That partner can come from your own chart, from another person's chart, or from a passing transit. When it does, the Emotion centre becomes defined, and the channel's energy becomes a consistent part of you or of the relationship.
With dvara 39 · Obstruction in the Root centre
Moods that provoke and are provoked. Emotional depth and creative melancholy in search of spirit.
The Dvara Method teaches that a dvara you were not born with can still be developed through contemplation. The quality to cultivate here is: Clarity at the peak: decide and act clearly while abundance lasts. The Sun spends about six days in this dvara each year (around 19 February to 24 February), and the Moon passes through it roughly every 27 days, which makes natural times to practise.
