Manvaya Dvara › The 36 channels › Channel 12-22
Expression that depends on emotional mood. Social grace and impact when the timing feels right, withdrawal when it does not.
Links the Throat centre (Vishuddha) and the Emotion centre (Manipura)
A channel is defined when both of its dvaras are present: dvara 12 (Standstill) and dvara 22 (Grace). Then both centres it joins, Throat and Emotion, become defined too. In the Dvara Method, defined centres are the stable, consistent parts of a person. The Throat centre governs expression and making things happen; the Emotion centre governs emotions and feeling.
Moodiness and withdrawal; words that wound when the timing is wrong.
If you carry dvara 12 but not 22, or the reverse, the channel is open in you: the energy reaches out for its other half. The missing dvara can arrive through another person, which is one of the strongest kinds of connection between two charts, or through a passing transit, when the channel is defined for a few hours, days or months.
One of you carries dvara 12 and the other carries dvara 22. Neither has the channel alone; together it exists. This is the classic spark of attraction, and also a place of friction when either of you pulls back.
Both of you carry the whole channel. You understand each other here easily, and you may also reinforce each other's habits.
One of you carries the whole channel and the other carries one of its dvaras. The one with the full channel tends to set the pattern; the other may feel they have to adapt.
Only one of you carries this channel. The other experiences it through them, often strongly, and can learn from it or feel overwhelmed by it.
