Channel 29-46 · Commitment

Saying yes and staying with it. Discovery through full commitment to an experience and being present in the body.

Links the Life Force centre (Svadhisthana) and the Self centre (Anahata)

When the channel is defined

A channel is defined when both of its dvaras are present: dvara 29 (The Abyss) and dvara 46 (Pushing Upward). Then both centres it joins, Life Force and Self, become defined too. In the Dvara Method, defined centres are the stable, consistent parts of a person. The Life Force centre governs life force, work energy and fertility; the Self centre governs identity, direction and love.

The shadow side

Saying yes to everything; overcommitting and then feeling trapped.

When you carry only one half

If you carry dvara 29 but not 46, or the reverse, the channel is open in you: the energy reaches out for its other half. The missing dvara can arrive through another person, which is one of the strongest kinds of connection between two charts, or through a passing transit, when the channel is defined for a few hours, days or months.

Channel 29-46 between two people

Completing

One of you carries dvara 29 and the other carries dvara 46. Neither has the channel alone; together it exists. This is the classic spark of attraction, and also a place of friction when either of you pulls back.

Shared

Both of you carry the whole channel. You understand each other here easily, and you may also reinforce each other's habits.

Partly shared

One of you carries the whole channel and the other carries one of its dvaras. The one with the full channel tends to set the pattern; the other may feel they have to adapt.

One-sided

Only one of you carries this channel. The other experiences it through them, often strongly, and can learn from it or feel overwhelmed by it.
