Steady rising: build greatness from small daily steps taken with devotion.
Self centre · Anahata chakra · hexagram 46 of the I Ching
Love of the body and its path. It pushes upward through being in the right place at the right time.
Neglecting or punishing the body; seriousness that loses the joy of the way.
Every dvara has both. Which one shows depends on awareness, circumstances and the people around you, not on the dvara itself.
In the Dvara Method, if a planet sat in this 5.625° slice of the zodiac at your birth, or about 88 days before it, dvara 46 is part of your chart. It belongs to the Self centre, which governs identity, direction and love, and sits in the Anahata chakra.
On its own it is an open dvara: a quality you have access to, but one that reaches for a partner. It completes a channel only when its partner dvara is also present: 29. That partner can come from your own chart, from another person's chart, or from a passing transit. When it does, the Self centre becomes defined, and the channel's energy becomes a consistent part of you or of the relationship.

Saying yes and staying with it. Discovery through full commitment to an experience and being present in the body.
The Dvara Method teaches that a dvara you were not born with can still be developed through contemplation. The quality to cultivate here is: Steady rising: build greatness from small daily steps taken with devotion. The Sun spends about six days in this dvara each year (around 21 September to 27 September), and the Moon passes through it roughly every 27 days, which makes natural times to practise.

Dvara 46 occupies the same slice of the zodiac as hexagram 46 of the I Ching. If you know the 64 gates from Human Design, it corresponds to gate 46. The Dvara Method is independent and reads it in its own words.
