Manvaya Dvara › The 36 channels › Channel 9-52
Stillness that concentrates energy on detail. Staying with one thing long enough to master it.
Links the Life Force centre (Svadhisthana) and the Root centre (Muladhara)
A channel is defined when both of its dvaras are present: dvara 9 (Small Restraint) and dvara 52 (Keeping Still). Then both centres it joins, Life Force and Root, become defined too. In the Dvara Method, defined centres are the stable, consistent parts of a person. The Life Force centre governs life force, work energy and fertility; the Root centre governs drive, pressure and adrenaline.
Tunnel vision and restless stuckness; losing sight of the wider picture.
If you carry dvara 9 but not 52, or the reverse, the channel is open in you: the energy reaches out for its other half. The missing dvara can arrive through another person, which is one of the strongest kinds of connection between two charts, or through a passing transit, when the channel is defined for a few hours, days or months.
One of you carries dvara 9 and the other carries dvara 52. Neither has the channel alone; together it exists. This is the classic spark of attraction, and also a place of friction when either of you pulls back.
Both of you carry the whole channel. You understand each other here easily, and you may also reinforce each other's habits.
One of you carries the whole channel and the other carries one of its dvaras. The one with the full channel tends to set the pattern; the other may feel they have to adapt.
Only one of you carries this channel. The other experiences it through them, often strongly, and can learn from it or feel overwhelmed by it.
