Manvaya Dvara › The 64 dvaras › Dvara 9
Refinement in small things: shape your expression gently before pushing for more.
Life Force centre · Svadhisthana chakra · hexagram 9 of the I Ching
Focus on detail. It concentrates energy on the small thing in front of it until that thing is done well.
Getting lost in details and losing the whole; small restraint turning into stuckness.
Every dvara has both. Which one shows depends on awareness, circumstances and the people around you, not on the dvara itself.
In the Dvara Method, if a planet sat in this 5.625° slice of the zodiac at your birth, or about 88 days before it, dvara 9 is part of your chart. It belongs to the Life Force centre, which governs life force, work energy and fertility, and sits in the Svadhisthana chakra.
On its own it is an open dvara: a quality you have access to, but one that reaches for a partner. It completes a channel only when its partner dvara is also present: 52. That partner can come from your own chart, from another person's chart, or from a passing transit. When it does, the Life Force centre becomes defined, and the channel's energy becomes a consistent part of you or of the relationship.
With dvara 52 · Keeping Still in the Root centre
Stillness that concentrates energy on detail. Staying with one thing long enough to master it.
The Dvara Method teaches that a dvara you were not born with can still be developed through contemplation. The quality to cultivate here is: Refinement in small things: shape your expression gently before pushing for more. The Sun spends about six days in this dvara each year (around 28 November to 3 December), and the Moon passes through it roughly every 27 days, which makes natural times to practise.

Dvara 9 occupies the same slice of the zodiac as hexagram 9 of the I Ching. If you know the 64 gates from Human Design, it corresponds to gate 9. The Dvara Method is independent and reads it in its own words.
