Manvaya Dvara › The 64 dvaras › Dvara 52
Stillness: keep your thoughts within your present situation.
Root centre · Muladhara chakra · hexagram 52 of the I Ching
Stillness and concentration. It keeps still until the energy is ready to move.
Stillness that turns into inertia; restlessness when concentration fails.
Every dvara has both. Which one shows depends on awareness, circumstances and the people around you, not on the dvara itself.
In the Dvara Method, if a planet sat in this 5.625° slice of the zodiac at your birth, or about 88 days before it, dvara 52 is part of your chart. It belongs to the Root centre, which governs drive, pressure and adrenaline, and sits in the Muladhara chakra.
On its own it is an open dvara: a quality you have access to, but one that reaches for a partner. It completes a channel only when its partner dvara is also present: 9. That partner can come from your own chart, from another person's chart, or from a passing transit. When it does, the Root centre becomes defined, and the channel's energy becomes a consistent part of you or of the relationship.
With dvara 9 · Small Restraint in the Life Force centre
Stillness that concentrates energy on detail. Staying with one thing long enough to master it.
The Dvara Method teaches that a dvara you were not born with can still be developed through contemplation. The quality to cultivate here is: Stillness: keep your thoughts within your present situation. The Sun spends about six days in this dvara each year (around 25 June to 1 July), and the Moon passes through it roughly every 27 days, which makes natural times to practise.

Dvara 52 occupies the same slice of the zodiac as hexagram 52 of the I Ching. If you know the 64 gates from Human Design, it corresponds to gate 52. The Dvara Method is independent and reads it in its own words.
