Manvaya Dvara › The 64 dvaras › Dvara 13
True fellowship: see what people share, and organise them around it.
Self centre · Anahata chakra · hexagram 13 of the I Ching
A listener who gathers people's stories. It holds the past in trust and draws a fellowship from shared experience.
Carrying other people's secrets as a weight; dwelling in what has already happened.
Every dvara has both. Which one shows depends on awareness, circumstances and the people around you, not on the dvara itself.
In the Dvara Method, if a planet sat in this 5.625° slice of the zodiac at your birth, or about 88 days before it, dvara 13 is part of your chart. It belongs to the Self centre, which governs identity, direction and love, and sits in the Anahata chakra.
On its own it is an open dvara: a quality you have access to, but one that reaches for a partner. It completes a channel only when its partner dvara is also present: 33. That partner can come from your own chart, from another person's chart, or from a passing transit. When it does, the Self centre becomes defined, and the channel's energy becomes a consistent part of you or of the relationship.
With dvara 33 · Retreat in the Throat centre
Listening, remembering, then speaking about what was learned. The keeper of other people's stories and of lessons from the past.
The Dvara Method teaches that a dvara you were not born with can still be developed through contemplation. The quality to cultivate here is: True fellowship: see what people share, and organise them around it. The Sun spends about six days in this dvara each year (around 2 February to 7 February), and the Moon passes through it roughly every 27 days, which makes natural times to practise.

Dvara 13 occupies the same slice of the zodiac as hexagram 13 of the I Ching. If you know the 64 gates from Human Design, it corresponds to gate 13. The Dvara Method is independent and reads it in its own words.
