Right nourishment: be careful with your words and moderate in what you take in.
Life Force centre · Svadhisthana chakra · hexagram 27 of the I Ching
Care and nourishment. It looks after others' bodies, families and values.
Caring to the point of self-neglect; caring for others in order to keep them close.
Every dvara has both. Which one shows depends on awareness, circumstances and the people around you, not on the dvara itself.
In the Dvara Method, if a planet sat in this 5.625° slice of the zodiac at your birth, or about 88 days before it, dvara 27 is part of your chart. It belongs to the Life Force centre, which governs life force, work energy and fertility, and sits in the Svadhisthana chakra.
On its own it is an open dvara: a quality you have access to, but one that reaches for a partner. It completes a channel only when its partner dvara is also present: 50. That partner can come from your own chart, from another person's chart, or from a passing transit. When it does, the Life Force centre becomes defined, and the channel's energy becomes a consistent part of you or of the relationship.

Nourishing and protecting others. Responsibility for values and for the wellbeing of family and community.
The Dvara Method teaches that a dvara you were not born with can still be developed through contemplation. The quality to cultivate here is: Right nourishment: be careful with your words and moderate in what you take in. The Sun spends about six days in this dvara each year (around 22 April to 28 April), and the Moon passes through it roughly every 27 days, which makes natural times to practise.
