Manvaya Dvara › The 64 dvaras › Dvara 47
Resolve when drained: stay true to your purpose even when exhausted.
Mind centre · Ajna chakra · hexagram 47 of the I Ching
Making sense of the past. It takes confusion and exhaustion and lets meaning emerge in its own time.
Mental oppression from trying too hard to make sense; hopelessness.
Every dvara has both. Which one shows depends on awareness, circumstances and the people around you, not on the dvara itself.
In the Dvara Method, if a planet sat in this 5.625° slice of the zodiac at your birth, or about 88 days before it, dvara 47 is part of your chart. It belongs to the Mind centre, which governs thinking and forming concepts, and sits in the Ajna chakra.
On its own it is an open dvara: a quality you have access to, but one that reaches for a partner. It completes a channel only when its partner dvara is also present: 64. That partner can come from your own chart, from another person's chart, or from a passing transit. When it does, the Mind centre becomes defined, and the channel's energy becomes a consistent part of you or of the relationship.

Mental pressure to resolve confusion. Images from the past sorted again and again until they make sense.
The Dvara Method teaches that a dvara you were not born with can still be developed through contemplation. The quality to cultivate here is: Resolve when drained: stay true to your purpose even when exhausted. The Sun spends about six days in this dvara each year (around 10 September to 15 September), and the Moon passes through it roughly every 27 days, which makes natural times to practise.

Dvara 47 occupies the same slice of the zodiac as hexagram 47 of the I Ching. If you know the 64 gates from Human Design, it corresponds to gate 47. The Dvara Method is independent and reads it in its own words.
