Healthy limits: create measure in your life and examine your conduct.
Root centre · Muladhara chakra · hexagram 60 of the I Ching
Acceptance of limitation. It works within limits and transforms them, so change can come.
Feeling crushed by restriction; pessimism when limits seem endless.
Every dvara has both. Which one shows depends on awareness, circumstances and the people around you, not on the dvara itself.
In the Dvara Method, if a planet sat in this 5.625° slice of the zodiac at your birth, or about 88 days before it, dvara 60 is part of your chart. It belongs to the Root centre, which governs drive, pressure and adrenaline, and sits in the Muladhara chakra.
On its own it is an open dvara: a quality you have access to, but one that reaches for a partner. It completes a channel only when its partner dvara is also present: 3. That partner can come from your own chart, from another person's chart, or from a passing transit. When it does, the Root centre becomes defined, and the channel's energy becomes a consistent part of you or of the relationship.
With dvara 3 · Difficult Beginnings in the Life Force centre
Pressure for something new pushing through limits. Growth comes in pulses, where restriction and breakthrough take turns.
The Dvara Method teaches that a dvara you were not born with can still be developed through contemplation. The quality to cultivate here is: Healthy limits: create measure in your life and examine your conduct. The Sun spends about six days in this dvara each year (around 17 January to 22 January), and the Moon passes through it roughly every 27 days, which makes natural times to practise.
