Manvaya Dvara › The 64 dvaras › Dvara 7
Discipline with care: lead and protect the people who depend on you.
Self centre · Anahata chakra · hexagram 7 of the I Ching
The instinct to guide a group. It sees which direction serves the many and can lead from behind as well as in front.
Wanting to steer without being asked; hurt or controlling when guidance is ignored.
Every dvara has both. Which one shows depends on awareness, circumstances and the people around you, not on the dvara itself.
In the Dvara Method, if a planet sat in this 5.625° slice of the zodiac at your birth, or about 88 days before it, dvara 7 is part of your chart. It belongs to the Self centre, which governs identity, direction and love, and sits in the Anahata chakra.
On its own it is an open dvara: a quality you have access to, but one that reaches for a partner. It completes a channel only when its partner dvara is also present: 31. That partner can come from your own chart, from another person's chart, or from a passing transit. When it does, the Self centre becomes defined, and the channel's energy becomes a consistent part of you or of the relationship.
With dvara 31 · Influence in the Throat centre
Influence through direction. Seeing where a group should go and speaking for it when invited or recognised.
The Dvara Method teaches that a dvara you were not born with can still be developed through contemplation. The quality to cultivate here is: Discipline with care: lead and protect the people who depend on you. The Sun spends about six days in this dvara each year (around 6 August to 11 August), and the Moon passes through it roughly every 27 days, which makes natural times to practise.

Dvara 7 occupies the same slice of the zodiac as hexagram 7 of the I Ching. If you know the 64 gates from Human Design, it corresponds to gate 7. The Dvara Method is independent and reads it in its own words.
